Our band program goes far beyond the school day. Here’s what students participate in each year:

Being in band isn’t just a class. We participate in:

The official source for all Northwood Band scheduling information is the Northwood Band Calendar of Events Google Document. This document is updated whenever rehearsals, performances, competitions, trips, or other events are added or modified. Families and students should refer to this document regularly, as it always contains the most current scheduling information.

The calendar is also linked on the Northwood Band Google Calendar, which can be found on the Northwood Band website. Students and families are encouraged to subscribe to the Google Calendar so that band events automatically appear on their personal calendars, phones, tablets, or other devices.

While the live calendar serves as the official schedule, Ms. Imel will also communicate important event information through email. Detailed itineraries, call times, packing lists, transportation information, and event-specific instructions will typically be sent approximately 2–6 weeks prior to an event, depending on the nature of the activity.

If changes to an event's date, time, location, or schedule become necessary, updated information will be communicated as soon as possible through email and reflected on the live schedule.

Student & Family Responsibilities

2. Subscribe to the Northwood Band Google Calendar on your personal devices.

3. Read all emails from Ms. Imel thoroughly and promptly. I’ll try to minimize the length of them this year.

4. Notify the director immediately if a scheduling conflict arises.

When in doubt, always refer to the Live Calendar & Schedule Document first, as it is the most up-to-date and authoritative source for all band scheduling information.
